If you like the idea of being a principal actor or extra in a faith-based inspirational film that is guaranteed to be screened in Hollywood, this is the place to come. The 168 Hour Film Project framework is perfect for actors who want resume experience – and a DVD copy of the project.

Acting in our 168 film is the same as any other film or theatrical production. You will audition at an "open call” acting audition, where you will be videotaped while reading several different styles of script.  But due to contest rules, at the audition we will not know what the characters we need to cast will be!  That is because we cannot start writing until after Verse Assignment night.  Therefore we need to audition as many potential actors as possible, including:

  • Children
  • Teens
  • Young adults
  • Middle-aged adults
  • Senior Citizens
  • People with disabilities
  • People of all races
  • People with all acting abilites
  • People with any (or no) church affiliation - OPEN TO ALL!

IMPORTANT: AUDITIONING DOES NOT GUARANTEE A PART IN THE PRODUCTION
Since not everyone auditioning will be able be in the film, potential actors can also interview for tech positions at the casting call event.  For details, click here.

To qualify for auditioning, you will certify that:
  • You sign a release form to allow us to photograph and keep your information on file for future productions, and that grants rights to UALC, Run of the Mill Productions, and the 168 Film Project to distribute the finished product
  • You will be available for call daytime and evening between March 1 and March 8, 2008 (exact shooting schedule to be determined, so you will need to have a flexible schedule)
  • You understand that casting is at the sole discretion of the Producer
  • You understand this is NOT a union production
  • You understand that NO monetary compensation will be paid. (Your sole compensation will consist of a DVD copy of the finished production, which you will have the right to copy for private or resume use – but NOT for distribution or upload to video sharing services.)
  • You understand that as a church-supported faith-based inspirational project, a code of conduct will be adhered to at all times while on set or when representing UALC, Run Of The Mill Productions or the 168 Film Project.
Notes for children or youth (under 18)
  • Youth under 18 must have a parent’s or guardian’s permission to audition and perform (CLICK HERE to download permission form and bring it with you to the audition, signed by your parents)
  • For children younger than 16, a parent must accompany the child throughout the audition process. (Downloading and signing the above form in advance will speed the process.)
  • If child actors are required, the shooting schedule will be adjusted to accommodate school hours.  It is unlikely that an excuse from school will be required.
